The Factory Act, 1948 and The Karnataka Factories rules, 1969

An Act to Consolidate and amend the Law Regulating Labour in Factories.

The Act is applicable to the premises wherein: -

  1. 10 or more workers are employed with use of power
  2. 20 or more workers are employed without the use of power
  3. Less than 10 workers, if activity is notified by the State Government, engaged manufacturing activities.
